A playful collaboration with a Sci-Fi enthusiast. He had a very clear vision about the theme of the image and I have enjoyed it very much to put it into practice.

The painting was created on canvas on chassis with watercolors and gouaches, showing a red planet with two rising stars, that he would like to visit. That planet, including the name of it, “Alpha Teseus” are purely imaginary.
The final result is similar to a selfie, with an astronaut’s black and white photograph attached to the abstract painting using encaustic medium.
