The name of this painting comes from the colors and texture of it, similar to a crystal, that formed naturally by combining certain pigments.
The textural effects were made by combing many water-soluble paints, that dried fast (due to the usage of a heat blower) or naturally, at room temperature, several stages being required for attaining the final result.
For the main image I have combined several painting mediums (gouaches, watercolors, pencils etc.) in many layers on canvas on chassis.

The painting is complex, organic and detailed. The surface is completely covered in transparent encaustic, which gives it a smoother and more homogenous finish, closer to a crystal’s, compared with the initial one. Encaustic’s softness, durability and shine make it even more pleasant to the eyes and touch.
