The background is a mixed media painting (watercolors, ink and markers) that represents the moments between day and night, the cycles and multiple layers that make the landscapes that we observe (not just) with our physical eyes.

I’ve put a lot of attention on the details: the forests’ trees are carefully painted in shades of blue, just as the mountains appear from far away; the green meadows are multilayered, and the twilight is shown with different chromatic layers, correspondent of the colors the sun reflects when right under the horizon. The parallel or convergent lines are organic in shape and symbolize the frequencies that we perceive not with our physical eyes, but that create all that we see around us, the interconnectivity and coherence of nature.
I then applied an uniform layer of transparent encaustic.
The painting intends to share a peaceful, quiet, confident and full of fascination state. We all are an expression of nature and if we allow life to unfold, the stages will be fulfilled naturally and with ease. Just as the sun rises and sets every day, without resistance.
