Waltz

Made on canvas on chassis, this work of art is a clear example that an intuitive technique and fluid gestures can surprise by a coherent and harmonious result in painting.

Using gouaches, watercolors and markers, and applying them in multiple layers and stages, I allowed for a dynamic and expressive image to be formed, completely covered with a transparent encaustic layer.  

I personally notice several symbols and beings, natural or fantastic. I choose not to describe in detail these observations, so I wouldn’t influence the way in which those who read these lines could perceive the shapes/messages.  

The painting’s title was inspired from the plentitude of white circles mainly positioned in groups of three, much like waltz movements; in fact, the entire image makes me think of a synchronized, fluid and harmonious dance.
